On Saturday, January 4, 2020, the Van Dyck will present a special night of rocknroll as the Graham Tichy Allstars presents "Beatle's Abbey Road +50." That evening, Graham and his handpicked band of area music vets will lend their considerable talents to paying tribute to one of the most beloved albums of all time, the Beatle's "Abbey Road," which just celebrated its 50th anniversary release.
Graham's band will include Graham on guitar, Dave Maswick (Stony Creek Band, Blotto) on bass, Don Young (Doc Scanlon, Big Fez, Annie & the Hedonists) on guitar, Chris Osborn (Franklin Micare) on drums, and Mike Kelley (Sharks, Ernie Williams, Lustre Kings) on piano. The band will play the album in its entirety, song by song, that includes such unforgettable hits like "Come Together," "Something," "Here Comes The Sun," and the brilliant twenty minute second side medley.
After the intra-band turmoil of The White Album and Let It Be, The Beatles put their differences aside to record one of their most popular albums that still sounds fresh and vital 50 years after its release. Abbey Road is now synonymous with the pinnacle of music production and the studio has become iconic among music lovers all over the world. The Beatles album recorded there in 1969, with its instantly recognizable cover, is no less legendary, sitting Number 14 in Rolling Stone’s Greatest Albums of All-Time.
This is a show not to be missed by any Beatles fan, so come together and join us for what promises to be a memorable "fab four" experience!
